Obituary of David Junior Phelps

David Junior Phelps, age 78, of the English Community in Red River County, passed away Wednesday, March 04, 2015, at Clarksville Nursing Center. David was born February 6, 1937, in the English Community to Sam David “Bud” and Claudia McPeak Phelps. He married Betty Butler on March 15, 1958 and retired from K&B Steel. David’s favorite pastimes in life were fishing, hunting and gardening. Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers are John Oce Williams, Jr., Eddie Jarrett, Chris Tidwell, Justin Phelps, Daniel Raschke and Milton Tidwell. Survivors include his wife, Betty Joan Phelps of the English Community, 2 sons, Jeff Phelps and wife, Amber of Royse City and Mike Phelps of the English Community; 1 daughter, Teri Bishop of Bogata; 2 sisters, Joyce Ridge of Godley and Frances Pool of Iowa Park; grandchildren, Chris Tidwell and wife, Sara, Justin Phelps, Ethan McConnell, Shawna Raschke, Daniel Raschke, Zoe Phelps and Johnna Huffman; and 2 great granddaughters, Addy and Dakota.
