Obituary of Mary Halley

Mary Ruth Halley passed away March 5, 2015 at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris. She was born in Negley Community of Red River County, Texa, on August 24, 1927, to John Aaron and Bessie Minnie Smith. She married Mac Donald Halley on April 26, 1946 in Hobbs New Mexico. They celebrated nearly 51 years of marriage before his death in 1997. Mary Ruth loved working in her garden, her family and her church family. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a son Terry Lynn Halley. Survivors include her son, Dan Ray Halley and wife Linda, of Avery; her daughters, Nancy Booker of Corinth and Karen Morris and husband Colman, of Paris; 12 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Tuggle Springs Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
