Obituary of Paul Harold Major

Paul Harold Major, Jr., age 84, of Clarksville, passed away, Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Mr. Major was retired from Texas Utilities. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Lone Star Congregational Methodist Church. Paul was preceded in death by his first wife, Jerri Major; a grandson, Matthew Major; and an infant brother. He married Barbara Picklesimer on August 3, 2006. Funeral services are set for 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Shovan and Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Lanes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Aaron Major, Shawn Earl, Daniel Major, Brent Napier, Kirk Thomason and Ward Thomason. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Major of Clarksville; 3 sons, Mike Major and wife, Lu Anne of Clarksville, Scott Major and wife, Joyce of Sulphur Springs and Kevin Major and wife, Sayda of Keller; 1 daugther, Leanne Earl and husband, David of Winnsboro; 2 step-daughters, Debbie Picklesimer of Bogata and Cindy Talley of Slabtown; 2 step-sons, John Trussell and Jimmy Trussell of Bogata; 1 sister, Beth Major ; grandchildren, Lori Napier, Aaron Major, Becky Major, Shannon Major, Susan Earl, Daniel Major and Shawn Earl; and 7 great-grandchildren.
