Obituary of Charlie William Dotson
Charlie “C.W.” Dotson, age 101, of Bagwell, passed away May 18, 2015, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Mr. Dotson was born April 23, 1914, in Garvin, Oklahoma to Jim and Ethel Hankins Dotson. He was a farmer and rancher and retired from the U. S. Postal Office. Mr. Dotson was a man that loved to work and take care of his family. He was a devoted father, husband, grandfather and brother. He loved being outside working in the hay fields and loved to raise food to feed his family. After retiring he enjoyed gardening. Charlie loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed holidays because he got to spend time with all his family. Mr. Dotson loved telling stories of how he picked cotton and about starting the logging business with his sons. To this day, his grandson runs Dotson Logging. He liked talking about the “good ole days” and visiting with his neighbors, Bryon and Gayle Robertson, who meant the world to him. The family would like to thank Judy Delamare, Ashley Roberts and Keyanna Murphy and Lane for all the love and care you gave “Pop” while he was in Clarksville Nursing Center. Mr. Dotson was preceded in death by his wife, Donnie Faye Fisher Dotson; and a grandson, Johnny Lee Dotson. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church.
