Obituary of Charles W. Young

Charles William Young, age 82, of Clarksville, passed away at Clarksville Nursing Center on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009. Mr. Young was born December 29, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Charles A. and Elizabeth Cruse Young. He is a member of the McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents and one son, David Young. Survivors include his wife; Mary Jo Clack Young, two sons; Tom and wife Debbie Young of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Steve and wife Kari Young of Grand Prairie, Texas, three daughters; Cheryl Hardt of Flower Mound, Texas, Lori and husband Eddie Byrd, Jill and husband Chuck Brannan of Clarksville, one sister; Betty Munroe of Pennsylvania, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services are Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church in Clarksville with Rev. Lew Stokes and Tom Young officiating. Burial will follow in Detroit Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Matt Young, Brad Hardt, Chris Young, Ryan Byrd, Jared Brannan and Karie Giles.
