Obituary of Willard Walton Lloyd

Willard Walton Lloyd age 87 of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and formerly of Red River County passed away October 26, 2009 in Colorado. Mr. Lloyd was born January 21, 1922 in Marshall to Rev. Elbert Walton and Gertie Mae Gibson Lloyd. He was of the Baptist faith and served in the U.S. Army in the Philippine Islands during WWII. His wife, Florence Dunlop Lloyd preceded him in death. Survivors include his sons, Elbert Willard Lloyd and wife Debbie of North Richland Hills, William Harold Lloyd and wife Chris of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughters, Lorraine Hamilton and husband Buddy of Maud, Ava Mae Sipes of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Ruth Irene Fuller of Canton; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 31, 2009 under the Pavilion at Stones Chapel Cemetery with Buddy Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Stones Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
