Obituary of James Alvin Stanphill

James Alvin Stanphill, age 80, of Paris passed away Friday, October 30, 2009 in Dubuis Hospital of Paris, Texas. Mr. Stanphill was born March 25, 1929 to Daniel and Myrtle Johnson Stanphill in Tremont, Mississippi. He was of the Baptist faith. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Eva Gaines Stanphill; one son, Joey Stanphill and wife Bobbie of Paris; one sister, Madelene Marshall of Mississippi; one brother, Omar South of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Robert Stanphill, Alivia Stanphill and Eli Stanphill. Graveside services are set for Monday, November 2, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Boxelder Cemetery with Rev. Mark Sander officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
