Obituary of Paul H. Butts

Paul H. Butts, age 95,of Hooks, formally of Red River County, passed away September 3, 2015, at Wadley Regional Medical Center. Mr. Butts was born December 9, 1919, in Annona to Dr. T.R. and Lydia Wycough Butts. He retired from the Red River Army Depot and was a member of the Hooks United Methodist Church. Mr. Butts served in the U.S. Army Air Core and was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny Butts; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 7, 2015, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Gage officiating. Burial will follow in English Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Bob Edrington Jimmy Edrington, J.L. O’Neal, Glenn Stewart, Paul Allen and Jimmy Peek. Survivors include 1 son, Bradley Butts and wife, Deborah of Merit; 1 daughter, Debbie Hackett of Texarkana; and 1 grandson, Aaron Hackett of Texarkana.
