Obituary of Elouise Prater

Elouise Prater, age, 73, of Annona, passed away, Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Wadley Hospital. Elouise was born December 24, 1942, in Bivins to Benjamin Franklin and Daisy Sprayberry Hines. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, working with the tractor and farm work. Most of all she was a generous woman who loved her family and friends. Mrs. Prater was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Prater; her daughter, Kathy Davis; 3 brothers; 2 half-brothers and 2 half-sisters. The family will receive friends one hour before service time at the Double R Cowboy Church. Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2016, with Rev. Tracy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Savannah Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral home. Survivors include 3 sisters, Louise Lund and husband, Gordon of Queen City, Velma Davidson and husband, James of Avery and Dorothy Shifflett of Sweetwater; 1 brother, Jesse Hines and wife Carolyn of Commerce; 4 grandchildren, Thomas Jesse Shirley, Mary Katherian Selleck and husband, Josh, Robert Guinn and wife Melody and Jackie Harper; 1 step son, Jeffory Prater of Dallas and 6 great grandchildren.
