Obituary of Clyde Nowlin Johnson

Clyde Nowlin Johnson, age 64, of the Lone Star Community, passed away February 10, 2016, at his residence. Clyde was born September 2, 1951, in Slaton to James N. and Inez Childres Johnson. Clyde was a rancher and truck driver, he did a little of everything, but most of all he loved his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father. The family will receive friends Friday, February 12, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home. Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Shovan and Rev. Dink Benton officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Therman Russell, Monte Johnson, Dennis Martin, Keith Whooten, Kenneth Williams and Ronnie Tippit. Honorary Pallbearers are James Elrod, Dennis Carr, Lindy Guest, Blaine Peek, Stacy Embry and Danny Bishop. Survivors include his mother Inez Johnson of Bogata; 1 daughter, Leslie Wright and husband, Shane of Talco; 6 sons, Jason Johnson and wife, Rachel of Sulfur Bluff, Scott Johnson of Bogata, Michael Johnson of Boagta, Kent, Kyle and Kevin Rogers all of Mt. Vernon; 1 brother, James Johnson and wife Betty of Blossom; 8 grandchildren, Alex Wright, Jacob Wright, Brian Johnson, Destiny Johnson, Gus Johnson, Chandler Conrad, Parker Conrad and Kelby Rogers and 1 great grandson, Raef Wright.
