Obituary of George "Tommy" Key II

George Thomas “Tommy” Key, II, age 76, of Bogata, passed away, Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Mr. Key was born October 8, 1939, in Lubbock to Dr. Olan and Georgia Mae Carruth Key. He received his B.S. from Texas Tech University. Tommy was an outdoorsman and enjoyed working on and buying and selling guns. He was an avid sports fan and you could see him at most of the Rivercrest Rebels ball games. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial will follow in Cuthand Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Jeff Augustus, Rocky Womack, Jackie Townes, Darald Kuhlengel, Cory Townes and Shannon Townes. Survivors include his wife, Nita Lee Key of Bogata; 1 daughter, Kimberley Townes and husband, Jeremy of Bogata; 1 sister, Karen Rott and husband, Don of San Diego, California; and 2 grandsons, Jayden and Kolby Townes of Bogata.
