Obituary of Ricky Lynn Smith

Ricky Lynn Smith, age 52, of Bagwell, passed away, Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Ricky was born February 24, 1964, in Dallas to John L. and Levada Haslip Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother; grandson, Brayden LaRue; special Aunt, Margaret Glass; brother, Allen Herring; and sister, Linda Smith. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Karl Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Blanton Creek Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Michael Murphy, Charles Murphy, Monty Murphy, Joseph Glass, Doy Glass, David Potter, Wayne Glass and Ben Smith. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Michelle Murphy Smith of Bagwell; his father, John L. Smith of Bagwell; 2 sons, Ricky Lynn Smith, Jr., of Bagwell and Jacob Benson of Paris; his daughters, Angela Rhodes and husband, Jeremiah of Bagwell; Patricia Smith of Bagwell and Raven Benson of Paris; grandchildren, Emily Smith, Dyanna Smith, Kyra Smith, Jaden Campsey, Clayden LaRue and Collin Jackson; brothers, Eapthern Smith of Gatesville and John T. Smith and wife, Carolyn of Garland; and sisters, Frances Marie Love and husband, Don of Canton and Rhonda Singleton of Wills Point.
