Obituary of Carl Arthur Felker

Carl Arthur Felker, Jr., age 80, of Ft. Worth, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009, at Wedgewood Nursing Home in Ft. Worth. Mr. Felker was born on March 9, 1929, in Dallas and grew up in Clarksville. He graduated from Texas A&M and is remembered for his devotion to the Aggie Football Team. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on an aircraft carrier. He married Bobbie Edrington in October of 1958. She preceded him in death on March 30, 1990. He worked for the Texas Highway Department and then the Army Corps of Engineers helping to design dams, roads and airstrips. Carl is survived by his daughters Joanne Johnson, Jean Felker, Katherine Boemer and Mary Felker, 3 grandchildren and 1 sister, Buffy Politiski. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2009, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don C. Benton officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Glenn Johnson, Jeff Boemer, Craig Harper, Bob Edrington and Longe Edwards. The family will receive friends one hour before service time at the funeral home.
