Obituary of Lewis Edward Peek

Lewis Edward Peek, age 77, of Tye, Texas, formerly of Avery, passed away, Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Hendrix Medical Center in Abilene. Mr. Lewis was born, October 8, 1938, to Willie Lewis Peek and Ruby Lee Peek. Mr. Peek worked 50 plus years in the oil fields to provide for his family. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services are set for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Avery Cemetery with Rev. H. D. “Deannie” Lambert officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends, Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Peek of Tye; 2 sons; Bruce Peek of New Boston and Larry Peek of De Kalb; 2 daughters, Marissa Cook of Tye and Kristy Peek of Abilene; 1 sister, Fran Reed of Clarksville; 4 grandchildren; James Peek, Candice Rust, Matthew Peek and Andrea Peek; and several great-grandchildren.
