Obituary of Morris L Herring

Morris Herring, age 77, of Detroit, passed away May 14, 2016, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Morris was born, December 9, 1938 in Bogata, Texas to Martis and Mamie Herring. Mr. Herring was a retired Optician in Dallas, Texas and of Baptist faith. Mr. Herring, was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at the Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. Wincie Phillips and Rev. Toyce Phillips. Burial will follow at Blanton Creek. Family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 to 8 at the Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Lola Herring; 3 sons, Morris L. Herring, Jr. of Forney, William Harold Herring and Walter Webb and wife Melissa of Dallas. 1 daughter, Jeanna Scott of Arlington, 1 sister; Betty Matheny of Bagwell, 2 nephews; Gary Guthrie and Steven Guthrie; 5 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and 2 great nephews. Pallbearers are, Walter Webb, Joey Scott, Rob Scott, Colton Scott, Gary Guthrie and Jonathan Moore. Honorary Pallbearers are, Steven Guthrie and Eddie Cline.
