Obituary of Betty Butler Phelps

Betty Butler Phelps, age 76, of English passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 at East Texas Medical Center in Athens. Betty was born July 14, 1939, in Peters Prairie to Atha and Lela Fletcher Butler. She was an avid reader and loved watching movies, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband David J. Phelps. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. Memorial services are set for 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are: Justin Phelps, Christopher Tidwell, Daniel Raschke, Ethan McConnell and Milton Tidwell. Survivors include 2 sons, Michael David Phelps of English and Jeff Phelps and wife Amber of Royce City; 1 daughter, Teri Denise Bishop of English; 1 Sister, Vivian Davis of Mesquite; 1 brother Cecil Butler of Del Mar, California; 6 grandchildren, Shawna Raschke and husband, Daniel of Malakoff, Christopher Tidwell and wife, Sarah of Tyler, Justin David Phelps of San Antonio, Zoe Reese Phelps of Royce city, Ethan McConnell of Wichita Falls and Johnna Huffman of Royce City and 2 great grandchildren, Addison and Dakota Raschke.
