Obituary of Ronald David Hammett

Ronald David “Ronnie” Hammett, age 57, of Clarksville, passed away, Tuesday, July 19, 2016, doing what he loved, Roping. Ronnie was an avid Team Roper. He loved training horses and being around his fellow ropers and family. Ronnie graduated from Clarksville High School in 1977 and at the time of his passing, he was working along with his brother, Ryan at Hammett Surveying in Clarksville. He was born, October 26, 1958, in Clarksville to Royce Dee and Lillian Nonette Smith Hammett. Ronnie was a member of the “RR” Cowboy Church. His parents preceded him in death. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2016, at the “RR” Cowboy Church with Rev. Tracy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Springs Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the church. Pallbeares are Lynn Golden, Paul Allen, Drue Ballantine, Dan Dilbeck, Justin Dilbeck, Mark Adams, Michael Meredith and Alan Green. Honorary Pallbearers are, Joe DePriest, Johnny Hudson, Jim Ballantine and Ross Ward. Survivors include his wife, Misty Day Hammett of Clarksville; his daughter, Jackie McMinn and husband, Cody of Campbell; his step children, Payton Eppler and Ty Eppler both of Clarksville; his brothers, Royce Dee Hammett, Jr. and wife, Melody of Plano and Ryan Hammett and wife, Amy of Clarksville; his granddaughter, Kaydence McMinn; and several nieces and nephews.
