Obituary of James "Sonny" Clarkson

James “Sonny” Clarkson, age 75, of Clarksville, passed away August 4, 2016, at his residence. James was born December 4, 1940, in Paris to A.O and Viola Long Clarkson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 12, 2016, at the “RR” Cowboy Church with Rev. Tracy Williams officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife Diann Marr Clarkson of Clarksville; his daughter, Melanie Vanderburg and husband, Jason; Step son, Steven Lee and wife, Melanie of Detroit; step daughter, Terva Cargile of Bogota; 6 sisters, Louise Hamm of Jacksonville, Fl, Dorothy Chambers of Plano, Betty Finley of Clarksville, Francis Brewer of Blossom, Patricia Spray of Blossom and Kathrine Scrivner of Clarksville; 3 brothers, Don Clarkson of Paris, Leroy Clarkson and wife, Glenda of Paris and Wayne Clarkson of Emery; 3 step grandchildren, Amanda Lee, Landan Lee and Olivia Lee and 1 step great grandchild, Zaedan Shaw.
