Obituary of Sharon Reynolds Davison

Sharon Reynolds Davison passed peacefully from this life into the care of her heavenly Father on August 27, 2016. Her vibrant spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Sharon was born to Henry and Claudia Morgan Reynolds April 5, 1944 at home, 2.5 miles north of Bogata, TX. She joined older brother Claude Earl, and a close family including her Papa Claude S Morgan, Grandmother Dora A Reynolds, many aunts and uncles, and 12 older cousins. Starting 1st grade in Bogata with Martha Jo Smith, Nancy Wood, Betty Gill, and Mary Ann Vaughan, Sharon began forming friendships that would last through graduation in 1962 and continue to grow through a lifetime of reunions and birthday celebrations. Sharon and son Bruce Whitten moved to Clarksville in 1969. Sharon married Claude Davison in 1985 and received the blessings of 2 step children, Claude E. Davison (deceased), and Celestial Davison Swing of Lexington, NC. Sharon worked at Westinghouse in Paris, TX from 1964-1969. Sharon also enjoyed a 7 year career of selling Home Interiors & Gifts from 1978 – 1985. Instrumental in organizing the Country Estates Neighborhood Association in Clarksville, Sharon served as President for a number of years. Upon moving to Dike in 1996, she helped organize the Dike/ Mahoney / Flora Annual Garage Sales, working faithfully on the project for 17 years. Sharon loved her neighbors, even traveling out of state to see some of the younger ones play baseball. For many years, Sharon served on the Bogata High School Reunion Committee, organizing the annual all school reunion. Sharon loved God and her sweet Lord Jesus, and she was especially fond of her church family at the Dike Church of Christ. She will be dearly missed by those who kept her spot warm on the pew.
