Obituary of Peggy W. Monkhouse

Peggy W. Monkhouse, age 77, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, August 29, 2016, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Mrs. Monkhouse was born, September 13, 1938, in Rayland, Oklahoma to Raymond and Winnie Bryant Smith. Mrs. Monkhouse was retired from Home Health Services and was preceded in death by a grandchild, Tanya Seleste Burnett and a sister, Debbie Watson. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to all. Survivors include her sons, Ricky Boyd Burnett of Clarksville, Randy Wayne Burnett of Clarksville and Ronny Gene Burnett and wife, Leona of Manchester; her grandchildren, Kacey Burnett of Clarksville, Melisa Bridges of Millerton, Oklahoma and Jerica Burnett of Paris; 5 great grandchildren; and her brothers, Larry Smith of Clarksville, Bobby Ray Smith of Shreveport, Louisiana and Glen Smith and wife, Linda of Valiant, Oklahoma. Funeral services are set for 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Bro. George Dutch Bryant officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.
