Obituary of Forest Velton Lee

Forest Velton Lee, age 82, of Avery, passed away October 8, 2016, at his residence. Mr. Lee was born October 5, 1934, in Avery to Obie and Gladys Lewis Lee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Pearl Lee in 2007; and 2 grandsons, Khristopher Lee and Brayden Landers. Velton was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Graveside services are set for 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2016, at Avery Cemetery with Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers are, Bobby Wages, Nick Martin, Harold Lewis, Brent Arnold, Trey Arnold and Mark Nicks. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include 2 sons, Jerry Lee of Avery and Ronnie Lee of New Hampshire; 1 daughter, Rebecca Joyce Lee of Queen City; 1 sister, Yvonne Cooper of Avery; 1 brother, James Lee of Avery; and several grandchildren.
