Obituary of Joe Sidney Pace

Joe Sidney Pace, age 86, of Clarksville, passed away, Sunday, November 20, 2016, at his residence. To all that knew Joe would say he was a little, “Mischievous”. Mr. Pace was born July 10, 1930, in Honey Grove to Joe Nelson and Centhia Viola Burrow Pace. Joe retired after 42 years of service to the Texas Department of Transportation. He loved hunting and fishing, cutting hay with his brother, Willie, and being with his family and friends. He married Stella Crouch on April 28, 1951. Joe was preceded in death by a son, Jacky Pace, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2016, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Stella Pace of Clarksville; 1 daughter, Jo Ann Gibson and husband, Randall Ploch of Lucas; 1 sister, Gladys McDowell of California; 1 brother, Willie Pace of Clarksville; 4 grandchildren, Kimberly McCallum and husband, Alan, Natosha Swenson and husband, Chris, Ricky Ploch and wife, Curstin, Rodney Ploch and wife, Jessica; and 9 great grandchildren.
