Obituary of Johnny Barton

Johnny Barton, age 65, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Christus Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler. Johnny was born July 8, 1951, in De Kalb to Albert and Mildred Smith Barton. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jack Barton. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 1, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2016, at the Abundant Life Center in Clarksville with Bro. Don Peek officiating. Burial will follow in English Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are: Dorian Clayborn, Billy Don Carson, David Day, James Williams, Matthew Barton and Jeff Barton. Honorary Pallbearers are Tommy Gallender, Bailey Booker, Tanner Day and David Gallender. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joe Helen Barton of Jacksonville; 3 brothers, James Barton and wife, Nancy of Clarksville, Carlos Barton and wife, Janice of Allen and Jerry Barton of Gilmer; his God daughter and son-in-law, Cristina Clayborn and husband, Dorian of Reklaw; his God grandchildren, Alexia Collier, Dorian Clayborn, Jr. and Derion Clayborn; 2 nieces, Tara Day and husband David and their children, Tanner, Jordan and Hannah Day and Melody Ayoub and husband, Mike and their children Bailey and Makaylee and 3 Nephews, Matthew Barton, Jeff Barton and Billy Barton. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Jacksonville, Tx.
