Obituary of Jeff Schrader

Jeffrey Lynn Schrader, age 62, of Annona, passed away on, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at his residence, after his valiant fight with lung cancer in 2011. Jeff’s battle resumed in January of 2015 with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. His strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried him through two more years of grueling treatments. Yet, even throughout his struggle with cancer he was able to work at Bumper to Bumper in Clarksville, Texas. Jeff was born on December 23, 1954, in Burlington, Iowa the son of Clifford Walter and Marcella Ann Stout Schrader. He leaves behind his wife Susan; her sons, Marcus and Sara; and Casey and Alma; grandchildren; Mason, Ava, Carver and Briar. He also leaves his brothers, Steve and his wife Lee, Doug and his wife, Wanda, Dave and Sherrie, and Randy and his wife Olena; his sisters Kathy and her husband, Don and Lori and her husband Lee. He is also survived by his in-laws, Sue Puckett (Maw Maw); along with Susan’s siblings Sharla and Kenneth Marder, Trey and Lori Puckett and Stacey Matejka. He also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind Kathy’s sister Marleah Drew and her husband Johnny and all of Kathy’s family. He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Kathy and both his Mom, Marcella and Dad, Clifford along with Susan’s Dad, George Carroll and Jeff’s special pal, Spike. Also, he was greeted by Kathy’s nephews, Glen and Ryan Drew. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Clarksville Funeral Home. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home, with Rev. Don C. “Dink” Benton and Shelley Benton officiating. Burial will follow in Annona Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Clay Peek, Darrell Peek, Paul Allen, John Gray, Kody Gray and John Noe. Honorary Pallbearers are, Jimmy Peek, W.R. Freeman, Bobby Brem and Bill Minter. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Annona Cemetery, C/O Betty Kelsoe, 341 CR 3212, Clarksville, Texas.
