Obituary of Sammie Beth Humphrey

Sammie Beth Humphrey, age 83, of Garland, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at her residence. Mrs. Humphrey was born, August 9, 1933, in Shamrock to Robert Marvin and Lottie Mae Chambers Trent. She was retired from banking and was of the Baptist faith. Her Husband, Gene Humphrey; a niece, Robin; and her beloved companion, Kalli, preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Don Humphrey and wife, Jan of Houston; a daughter, Gayle Nelson and husband, Louis of Plano; brothers, Robert Trent, Bobby Jack Trent, Johnny McCullough and James McCullough; sister-in-law, Margaret Rogers; grandchildren, Matthew and Laura Hendershot of Garland, Michael and Darla Agnew of Murphy and Shane Humphrey and Cheryl of McKinney; great grandchildren, Chris Hendershot, Tiffany and husband, Brandon Burke of Fate, Matthew Hendershot of Wylie, Barrett Agnew, Justin Humphrey, Taylor Humphrey, Devon Humphrey and Kerri Humphrey; great-great grandchildren, Blake and Sydney Hendershot; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Sandy Trent and her daughter, Tamera Trent Graveside services are set for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Lone Star Cemetery with Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., at Clarksville Funeral Home.
