Obituary of Frances Evans Hill

Frances Evans Hill, age 92, of Clarksville, passed away, Saturday, March 25, 2017, at her residence. Mrs. Hill was retired from the Sweetheart Cup Company where she served as Quality Control Supervisor. She was born October 30, 1924, in Annona to Ernest Green and Annie Lela Williams Evans. Frances loved spending time with her family, cooking and gardening. She was an accomplished seamstress and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hill was a member of the Rebekah’s and the American Legion. Her husband, Richard S. Hill; 2 brothers, Oscar and Earl; and 4 sisters, Katherine, Erna, Lorene and Annie Jean preceded her in death. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Aaron Vander Schaaf and Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Billy R. Hill, Brian Hill, Michael Wayne Hill, Jarrod Evan Hill, Steve Phillips and John David Hill. Honorary Pallbearer is Bud Callaway. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Survivors include 1 son, Mike Hill and wife, Susan of Clarksville; a special daughter, Pat Phillips; grandchildren, Billy Hill and wife, Carol, Brian Hill and wife, Nancy and Adam Cowart and wife, Trista; great grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Jarrod, Connor, Hudson, Sydney, Brayden and Trinity; several nieces and nephews; and her special little dog, Missy.
