Obituary of Mavis L. Kennedy

Mavis Kennedy, age 82, of Avery, passed away, Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Kennedy was a retired Registered Nurse and had over 30 years of employment with Red River General Hospital. She was born July 28, 1934, in Annona to Charles and Gracie Mae Peek Cassidy. Her son, Larry Whiteman; and a brother, Phillip Morrison preceded her in death. Mrs. Kennedy was a loving grandmother and of the Baptist faith. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2017, at Avery Cemetery with Josh Mooney officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include 1 daughter, Vicki Williams; 3 sisters, Rita, Charlene and Marylou; 1 brother, Johnny Morrison; 3 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
