Obituary of Wanda Roe

Wanda Raye Cross Roe, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Regency Nursing Center.  Mrs. Roe was born August 23, 1925, in Frisco to Raymond Andrew and Ola Mae Ross Cross.  She married Cecil Francis Roe on August 5, 1949.  Wanda was an active member of Peace Luthern Church.  She enjoyed sewing, watching wheel of Fortune, crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends.  Wanda is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Cecil Roe; parents; brothers, Lonnie Cross and James Cross; sisters, Dorothy Wyrick, Wilda Feagin, Rita Watkins and Billie Jean Cross.

Funeral services are set for 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017, at the Peace Luthern Church in Garland with Pastor Jack Schneider officiating.  Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time at the church.

Survivors include her daughter, Tanny Emery and husband, Bruce of Clarksville; son, Jim Roe and wife, Jerri of Carrollton; grandchildren Billy Bob Hughey and wife, Staci of Detroit, Lindsey Roe of Plano, Tim Roe of Farmers Branch; great granddaughter, Kalli Hughey; 2 step grandchildren, Ric Graniero and wife, Moon Sun and Charissa Graniero all of Los Angeles, California; 1 very loving sister, Margie Watkins of Wylie; and sister in law, Rose Cross also of Wylie.
