Obituary of Frances C. Teel

Frances Teel, age 95, of the White Rock Community of Red River County, passed away, Sunday, June 04, 2017, at Clarksville Nursing Center.

Frances was born June 19, 1921, in Clarksville to Bert and Lettie Crenshaw Carlton.  Frances was a longtime member of the Humane Society, she loved rescuing animals.  She loved politics, she was a lifelong democrat and served many years as an election official.  Frances was a joy to be around and will be missed terribly.  Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Woody Teel; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Dub Bumgarner and her nephew, Bruce Bumgarner.

The family will receive friends one hour before service time at the church.

Funeral services are set for 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Colgrove officiating.  Burial will follow in Stones Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include her niece, Beverly Bumgarner of Clarksville; her cousin, Barbara Skaggs of Clarksville and her beloved dog Coco and cat Cindy.
