Obituary of William Stephen Hale
William Stephen Hale, “Steve,” of Edmond, Oklahoma died peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2017. He was born September 18, 1938, in Clarksville, Texas, to William Henry, “Bill,” and Mary Kate Hale, who preceded him in death. Steve and June Moore were high school and college classmates and were married on June 13, 1959, in Clarksville and have three children: William Stephen, Jr, of Magnolia, Texas, Margaret Ann, of Pasadena, Texas, Lane Moore, of Edmond, Oklahoma. In addition to his wife, June, he is survived by his children, Bill and wife Patrice; Margaret; and Lane and wife Kara; and grandchildren Garon, Amanda, Blake, Drew, Evan, and Samuel. Steve spent his life in education working as a teacher, principal, and administrator in public schools and education agencies. He retired from Region 10 Education Service Center in Richardson, Texas in the Special Education Department. He also served on the Board of the Collin County Mental Health Mental Retardation Center. Steve was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma and the Emmanuel Sunday School class.

Graveside memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Clarksville Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
