Obituary of Johnny Holley
John Michael “Johnny” Holley, age 72, of Clarksville, passed away, Friday, June 16, 2017, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Johnny was an avid golfer! He also was a former Volunteer Fireman for the City of Clarksville. Johnny played baseball and graduated from the University of Alabama then later taught Science at Clarksville High School for 37 years. He was born, June 7, 1945, in Clarksville to Charles “Skeet” and Margaret O’Donnel Holley. Johnny was of the Catholic faith and his granddaughter, Morgan Meredith preceded him in death.
Graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2017, in Fairview Cemetery with Rev. H.D. Deannie Lambert officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are, Chris Walston, Robert Holley, Ray Johnson, Chuck Holley, Jim Cheyne and Will Nienke.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie Duncan Holley of Clarksville; 2 daughters, Shannon Johnson and husband, Ray of Powderly and Jennifer Nienke of Allen; 1 son, Justin Michael Holley and wife, Gerianne of Arlington; 1 sister, Kathy Cheyne and husband, Jim of Clarksville; 1 brother, Chuck Holley and wife, Pat of Carthage; and 3 grandchildren, Dylan Ogden, Cailee Ogden and Logan Nienke.
