Obituary of Georgie Lee McCoin

Georgie Lee  McCoin, age 71, of Detroit, passed away Saturday, June 17, at the VA Hospital in Dallas.

 Mr. McCoin was born, July 5, 1945, in Detroit to Bill and Dorothy Grizzle McCoin.  He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a member of the Woodland United Methodist Church.  Georgie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Douglas and Benjamin.

 Graveside services are set for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Leesville Cemetery.  Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

 Survivors include a daughter, Dawn Nell Hargan of Detroit; 2 brothers, Jackie McCoin and Danny McCoin both of Detroit; half sister, Kay Millsap of Paris; grandchildren, Andrew and Gabriel; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
