Obituary of Jerry Harris

Jerry Harris, age 73, of Clarksville, also known as “H” to many, passed away, Monday, July 24, 2017, at Dallas Regional Medical Center.  Jerry was  Co-Owner of Clarksville Tax and Accounting Service in Clarksville since 1983.  “H”was born, March 10, 1944, in Golden to EJ and Ruth Inez Boggs Harris.  He attended school in Golden and East Texas State University in Commerce. He was stationed in South Korea serving in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967. Jerry married Madge Hines on August 1, 1969.  “H” was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dickie Harris; and a sister, Bobbie Slayton.

Survivors include his wife, Madge Harris of Clarksville; daughter, Carrie Davidson and husband, Scott of Hermosa Beach, California; grandson, Drew Davidson of Boulder, Colorado; nieces, Ann Sibley and husband Chuck of Nevada, Lila Slayton of Hawkins, Kim Kriner and husband, Dennis of Tyler and Stacy Snider and husband, Wesley of Golden; and a nephew, Andy Slayton and wife, Tonya of Hawkins.

 A Celebration of Jerry’s Life is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 29, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home.  Burial will be at a later date in Lanes Chapel Cemetery.
