~~Virginia (Ginner, Sis, Mom, Ma Ma, my Darling) as she was lovingly known by her whole family, completed her earthly life Saturday October 14, 2017 at 10:10 in the morning. She graduated from Annona High where she was a four year star on the girls’ basketball team. On Jan. 11, 1958, she married Ray Denny of Clarksville at the Annona United Methodist Church. Dallas.Virginia is a long time member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church of Mesquite where she served as Director of their Mother’s Day Out Program for over ten years. She had a special patience and love for children; she was active in the Mesquite I.S.D. Parent Teachers Association, served as Den Mother for the WEBELOS boy scouts, was coach of the “Tweety Birds” girls soccer team, and kept a whole gaggle of kids in the home while she was raising her own- she was the whole neighborhood’s “Mom”.
Virginia was creatively blessed, and was happy to share the gift making the girl's “Home Coming Mums” during high school home coming season. She also had a fantastic talent for painting porcelain figurines and sewing. Virginia’s favorite vacation spot was Walleye Park near Mt Vernon, relaxing in the camper while surrounded by family and friends.
