Obituary of Glenn Edward Smith

Glenn Edward Smith, age 59, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Smith was born July 25, 1958 in Clarksville to Glenn Lewis Smith and Jan Elizabeth Jones Smith.  He was retired from Flight Components in Dallas of 15 years, as a Ground Operator with Love Field. In 2003, Glenn returned to Clarksville where he enjoyed working his Cattle. He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents; Robert F. Smith, Mary Lewis Smith, Ed Jones and Ola Mae Jones, wife; Kimberely Lynn Smith and daughter Mechelle Lynn Smith.

Survivors include his mother; Jan Smith of Clarksville, 1 son; Glenn Edward Smith, Jr. of Brenham, 2 brothers; Robert Scott Smith of Dallas and Lewis Tod Smith of Clarksville, 1 sister; Melinda Whitten and husband Bruce of Paris, 2 grandchildren; Shane Edward Smith of Mesquite and Glynna Villarreal and husband Alan of Dallas, 3 great-grandchildren; JulieAnne, Liam and Rosaleigh and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation services are being held under the direction of the Clarksville Funeral Home. Family may have a Memorial at a later date.
