Obituary of James Ray McKown

James Ray “Jim” McKown, age 76, of Avery, passed away, Wednesday, February 07, 2018, near Clarksville.   Jim was born, November 3, 1941, in Lone Grove, Oklahoma to Ray and Dorothy Mae Mitchell McKown.  He along with his wife, Vickie owned Maltese Acres in Avery.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Peek McKown of Avery; sons, Alan McKown and wife, Laurie of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Mike McKown and wife, Alonie of Yukon, Oklahoma, Bradley Jarrett and wife, Lora of Avery and Bentley Jarrett of Longview; 2 sisters, Sherry Boatman and husband, Shannon of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Beth McKown of Ardmore, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Gene McKown and wife, Sherry of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Alex Eubanks and husband, Chad, Levi McKown, Samantha Jarrett, Cloey Jarrett, Kayden Jarrett and Anastasia Martin; and 1 great grandchild, Hunter.

Visitation will be Friday night from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Clarksville Funeral Home.

Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating.  Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are, Wesley Minter, Dean McFadin, Ken Caton, Ray Lamon, Carl Caton and Clint Caton.
