Obituary of Dixie Lynn Gilbert

Dixie Lynn Gilbert, age 72, of Avery, passed away, Monday, March 12, 2018, at Hospice of Texarkana.

Dixie was born September 1, 1945, in Racine, Wisconsin to Nicholas and Betty Jean Laughlin.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Debra Bradley. Dixie, along with her husband, where owners of Gary Peek Trucking Company.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m. Thursday March 15, 2018, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Earl Burton officiating.  Burial will follow in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Peek of Avery; her son, Gary Kunesh and wife Melissa of Oakland, California; 3 daughters, Lauri Ann Abell of Belton, Melissa Elliott of Broken Arrow, Ok. and Kari Peek and husband Adam of New Boston; 2 sisters, Lisa Furnell and husband, Dennis of Tampa, Florida, and Dawn Stephien of Wisconsin; her brother, Randy Massruha and wife, Jane of Tampa Florida; a brother and sister in law, Kenneth and Lynn DeMars of New Boston; and 5 grandchildren, Alyssa Kunesh, Nicholas Kunesh, Lucas Abell, Evan Abell and Amelia Abell.  XOXO.
