Obituary of Versell Irene Porterfield

Versell Porterfield, age 87, of Paris, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018, at Legend Healthcare and Rehabilitation.  Mrs. Porterfield was born, October 3, 1930, in Clarksville to Ed and Quincy Mae Rae Holloway.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Porterfield; a daughter, Penny Connell; and a son, Michael Porterfield.  Versell was a member of the First Baptist Church where her faith and family were an important part of her life.  She belonged to Emmaus, volunteered at the Agape Medical Clinic and was a member of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating.  Cremation will follow the Funeral Services.

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Patty Winder and husband, John of McCall, Idaho and Robbyn Porterfield of Clarksville; 1 sister, Hazel Hestand of Plainview; and 1 brother, Robert Holloway and wife, Lottie of Leesburg, Georgia.
