Obituary of Ruby Bagwell

Ruby Dorris Bagwell, age 87, of Clarksville, passed away, Friday, June 29, 2018.  Mrs. Bagwell was very active in her community and church.  She was a leader in the Red River County Special Olympics and retired from teaching special needs classes in area schools.  Mrs. Bagwell was a member of the Church of Christ and taught the Cradleroll Class for over 40 years.  Ruby was a regular at the Clarksville Dairy Queen where she enjoyed visiting with her friends.  Mrs. Bagwell was born, June 29, 1931, in Sweetwater to D.A. and Ruby Opal Thomas Green.  Her sister, Nancy Jones; her nephew, Kent Ingram; and the Father of her children, Don Bagwell preceded her in death. 

Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the Church of Christ on Highway 82 West in Clarksville with Randy Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Bogata Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the church. 

Pallbearers are Darrell Dunham, Terry Bell, Randy Allen, Gabe Leader, Mickey Bagwell, Dillon Bagwell ,Colton Bagwell and Megan Bagwell.

Honorary Pallbearers are all former students of Mrs. Bagwell and Monica Bagwell. 

Survivors include 2 sons, Greg Bagwell of Abilene and Scott Bagwell and wife, Teresa of Azle; 1 daugher,  Juli Bagwell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Don Green and wife, Margie of Washington State; and 6 grandchildren, Dillion, Colton, Megan, Gabe, Mickey, Monica, 3 nieces, Krista, Amy, Debbie and 1 nephew, Michael.
