Aunt Dovie was such a wonderful lady! She devoted her life to caring for her family and friends. Enriching everyone's life with her knowledge and kind loving spirit. She will always live on in my heart and in my kitchen! Best cook in the world she was. Sharon, Ricky, Rodger and family I'm so sorry for your loss.

I will miss my Aunt Dovie. She was so kind and always had a funny story to tell and she had a endearing laugh. She always made me feel welcome and made sure I didn’t go hungry.
I was a really skinny little girl and she wanted to put some meat on my bones.
Rest In Peace Dovie and enjoy your heavenly reunion with family.

I was saddened to hear about your Mother. Dovie was a special lady and loved by everyone who knew her. Her sense of humor and how she could tell you a story would have you laughing from start to finish. You will miss her dearly but you have many precious memories.Prayers for comfort and peace today and the days that follow.

Can't tell you how much I enjoyed working with Dovie at
the hospital. Always a smile on her face and laughter in her heart. Was able to visit her at home and at Regency
and still had her spunk. Sue Wiley, Bud Callaway, Dovie and I sat around for couple of hours couple of times and shared stories. I hope Bud will share with you some of the pranks they pulled on Dovie. Bless her heart. I am sad that Dovie is gone but feel that she died at home
like she wanted. Independent to the end like so many of her generation. She will be missed. Once arrangements
are made, I'll post on the hospital website for coworkers to see.
