Obituary of Virginia Dea Caffee
Virginia Anderson Caffee, age 86, of Clarksville, died Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Nicknamed Dea, she was born December 25, 1925, in Terrell, the daughter of Charlie and Helen Latimer Anderson. She attended Clarksville High School and obtained a bachelor’s degree in education from North Texas State University. She moved to Dallas to work for the phone company where she met her husband of 32 years, John Caffee. They were married June 28, 1969. She continued to work at AT&T for 25 years and retired to New Braunfels in 1979 and moved back to Clarksville in 1994. Dea will be remembered for her great love for animals and singing in the Choir. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1994.
Surviving her are Robert Caffee, Patty Tune and Louise McDermott of Austin; Susan Heller of Dyke; and Anne Gill of Houston; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and nephew and niece, Jed and Jennifer Weeks; and brother-in-law, Johnny Weeks.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and a sister, Elizabeth Weeks.
Memorial services are 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ed Dodson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
