Obituary of Donald W. Cox

Don W. Cox, age 67, of Clarksville, passed away, Friday, February 24, 2012, at ETMC, Clarksville. Don was born January 18, 1945, in Casterville, Texas to Johnnie Ray and Laverene Estell Oliver Cox. He was a retired Truck Driver. His parents; a brother, Jerry Cox; a sister, Connie Adams; and two twin daughters preceded him in death. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Hunt, Tommy Walker, Tommy Bean and Joe Blagg. Survivors include his wife, Shelba Tubbs of the home; a daughter, Sherri Smith of Quinlan; 4 step daughters, Janilyn Hunt of Avery, Vicki Whiteman of Keller, Michelle Walker of Garland and Sherri Bean of Ponder; a step son, Scott Moore of Garland; 2 grandsons; 2 great grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; 1 niece; and 1 nephew. Memorial services are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
