Obituary of Guy Herman Hardin

Rev. Guy Herman Hardin, age 89, of Clarksville, TX, passed away July 24, 2013, at his residence. Guy was born in Little Kansas, Oklahoma on October 13, 1923 to Thomas B. and Grace Andrews Hardin. He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor, and past president and Chaplin of the Pearl Harbor Survivor Chapter 8, the Fresno Chapter of the WWII Submarine Veterans and The United States Submarine Veterans Inc. He became a Holland Club Member of the USSVI. After his service to his country, Guy became well known as a minister in Hanford and the surrounding community from 1967 until September 2010. He was a teacher, preacher and Pastor to all. He had a special place in his heart for the Lakeside Community. Guy was known as being a very compassionate and Godly man. He was a kind and loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Thomas B. Hardin, Jr. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Wilson Weed officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Marjorie Louise Hardin; daughter, Rebecca Hale and husband Bill Steven of Clarksville; son, Douglas Grant Hardin and wife Lori of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter, Penny Crowell and husband Kris of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one sister, Alma Crossman of Santa Maria, California and 5 grandchildren, Jessica Hardin, Daniel Hardin, Kaitlyn Crowell, Erin Capps and husband Aaron; Allison Hale and fiance Andrew Morehouse.
