Obituary of Sue Montgomery

Sue Montgomery, age 85, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, October 28, 2013, at Regency Nursing Center. She owned Granny Sue’s Day Care Center in Clarksville for many years. Mrs. Montgomery was born October 20, 1928, in Clarksville to Cecil and Ida Mae Reed Bearden. Her husband, Earl Montgomery; two daughters, Brenda Luther Jacobs and Charlotte Luther Haddock; and one brother, Garlan Bearden preceded her in death. Survivors include her sons, Jerry Luther of Clarksville and David Peek of Annona; her daughters, Lisa Peek Smith of Annona and Debra Peek of Longview; her grandchildren, Christopher Luther, Michelle Luther, Jennifer Luther, Weldon Haddock and Brandon Haddock; and her great grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Richard, Tanner, Tyler, Conner, Monty and Morgan. Graveside services are set for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home.
