It's been a hard week, my Uncle Bob Cornelius went to join Aunt Donna in heaven, and I couldn't make the trip to say goodbye! It was so hard to be here when I needed to be there! He was a rare kind of man the kind that hardly exist anymore! A gentleman, a good Christian man, the best brother, father, grandpa, uncle, and man! He always told the funniest stories, about when he was a little girl, and his frog under his hat, to tales of the biggest fish ever caught! And knew how to discipline his kids and raised them all to be amazing people! At his house you ate cake for breakfast on Saturdays, and you NEVER drink from the orange juice cans!!!! And every sentence BETTER end in YES SIR, NO SIR, YES MA'AM, NO MA'AM! There will never be another man like Uncle Bob, and I know he's up in heaven celebrating that he made it home with the love of his life!! Part of my childhood was amazing thanks to this wonderful man, and I will always remember every moment and cherish the life lessons he taught me! Until we meet again, I miss you, love you, and I say a short farewell to one of the best men I've ever known! RIP Uncle Bob!!!! Love Ya Always!!

As my cousins Kay & Sarah Sutton have said, Bob never went anywhere without that frog under his hat. I have a crystal clear memory of him teasing my niece and nephew about that frog and getting the best laugh out of it. He was a good man and the best neighbor my parents (and grandparents before them) could ever ask for. He will surely be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of Bob's passing; Bob was such a sweet man. Like my daughter, I remember all the times he'd come to my mom and dad's place, sit on the swing, and tease my kids about the frog under his hat. I can just see him laughing now. Heaven has gained another angel. Prayers, love, and hugs to his family and friends.
Love,
Kay Sutton

Bob was a wonderful man. He, like my Papa, Sonny, never met a stranger and always went above and beyond to help anyone, in any way. Though his passing is heartbreaking, I find peace in knowing that he and Papa are reunited. I'm sure they're telling stories and catching up just like old times!
I'll always remember the heck he gave me about the frog in his hat. I can see him now, sitting on the cedar swing at barn at Mimi and Papa's. No matter how many times he came over, or how long he'd been there, the frog was always with him!
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and this week has taken a toll on my "village." My thoughts and prayers are with Bob's family, and the entire Bagwell community as they mourn the loss of two good men gone too soon.
RIP,
Sarah Sutton
