Obituary of Bob Cornelius

Bob Cornelius, age 84, of Bagwell, passed away, Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at his residence.  He was born September 16, 1933, in Ralls to Herman Jasper and Julia Ione Jones Cornelius.  Mr. Cornelius was very active in his community.  He was a Rancher, a charter  member and first Cheif of the Bagwell Volunteer Fire Department and served as a Decon at Bagwell Baptist Church.  Mr. Cornelius was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Fay Cornelius; and 2 brothers, H.J. Cornelius, Jr. and Gene Cornelius.  Bob loved his family and is survived by 2 sons, Bobby Cornelius and wife, Lisa of Clarksville and Jimmy Cornelius and wife, Tricia of Converse; 2 daughters, Linda VanDeaver and husband, Tommy of Clarksville and Kathie Roseberry and husband, Bruce of New Boston; 1 sister, Jane Ann Davis of Ralls; 9 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and a special friend, Ibbie Varner.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 26, 2018, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Bro. Karl Bush and Bro. Kevin Cornelius officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are, Kevin Cornelius, Jody VanDeaver, Heath VanDeaver, Robert Roseberry, Chad Wolf, Greg Devine, Michael Richards and Matt Low.

Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Bagwell Volunteer Fire Department.
